Step by step configuration Initial Configuration 1. Connect PC to NE using LCT cable 2. Open LCT application SW 3. Login>Local 4. User: ADMIN, Password: SDHMUXES 5. Select Status>Commissioning 6. Fill in parameter in Commissioning Parameters PDH port alarms mode : Automon (with signal conn) TCM Mode : Pseudo ALS Control : Hardware 1.5/2M fault action enable mode : Disable Default SD configuration : CDEG 7. Select Apply then Continue 8. Select Adopt to adopt all cards 9. Click Apply and wait until core A card stop flashing 10. Click close icon at the top right corner of the screen. 11. Select core B in LCT slot 1-8 (if fitted), then from drop-down menu select Configure>Switch 12. Select Apply then Finish 13. Configure other SMC Bank Status 1. Select Software>Bank Status> Global>Set Bank Status 2. Set the status SMC1 to Current and SMC2 to Non-Current and select OK 3. Exit to return to the Top Level screen. SET NE Online 1. Status>On line state 2. Select OK to bring NE on-line 3. Wait until core A card stop flashing 4. Select Cancel to return to Local Craft Terminal screen. 5. Select other card fitted in subrack, right click, select Configure then OK 6. Select Apply to confirm then Close to exit the window Communication configuration 1. From the main screen select Configuration>Comms 2. Select Transport Layer 3. Set the window timeout (default 16s) & Re-transmission count (default 4s) as required. 4. Select Apply, followed by Cancel 5. From the Comms screen, select “Network Layer” and setup NSAP address as follow: System ID length : 6 System ID : xxx (12 digits, ex. 000000000001) NPDU Lifetime control : 30 s Routing Mode : Level 1 Maksimum Area Address : 3 Master Area Address : xxx (20 digits ex. 11111111111111111111) 6. Select Apply Synchronization 1. Configuration>Synchronisation, select option “SETG sync mode” and set Sync Mode option to “Freerun” and other left at the defaults. 2. Select Apply then Close to return to Main screen Real Time Clock 1. Configuration>Date and Time 2. Set to the current date, Apply then Cancel to return to Main screen SET UP CROSSCONNECTION TO LINE WEST/EAST 1. Click then cross connection screen will be displayed. 2. Select the “Create mode” button 3. Select the “Auto create” button 4. On the left-hand side, select a “source” Tributary unit/LTU (2M Async) port On the right-hand side, select a “destination” Line unit (STM-1) port 5. Click port on the left and right side (for example 1 to 1.1.1) and cross connection screen will be opened 6. Set Admin State = Unlocked and Connection Type = Bidirectional and click OK and Cross connection created.
